Option II, acting similar to a minor, fulfills requirement 8 of the Spanish BA major.  It is 18 credit hours of courses from among the following related fields: a second modern foreign language (upper-division courses only); Latin, Greek, or English beyond the GE requirement; linguistics; classical civilization; Latin American history or geography; humanities; archaeology of Spain or Latin America; comparative literature; pre-medical school requirements; other areas approved by the department chair.
