The Department of Spanish and Portuguese is pleased to welcome Professor Anna-Lisa Halling! She received her BA at BYU, where she majored in Spanish and minored in Portuguese. She then completed her MA in Spanish Peninsular Literature at BYU and then her PhD in Hispanic literature with a Portuguese minor at Vanderbilt University. Before accepted her current position as an assistant professor of Portuguese at BYU, She taught Spanish language, literature, film, and culture at the University of Southern Indiana.
