Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California and naturally became an avid Disney fan! My passions, beyond those of Disney, include reading, listening to music, a wide variety of tv shows (From Psych to Dr. Who, all the way to The Great British Bakeoff). While I studied Spanish in high school for 4 years, my love for the language did not come until after my mission to Spain. After that life changing experience, I chose to double major in Spanish Translation and Family Studies: Family Services. Now I am continuing to develop my love of Spanish and constantly seek out new fun hobbies and activities. :)

Academic Background

  • BA in Spanish Studies: Family Services, Brigham Young University (2026)
  • BA in Spanish Translation, Brigham Young University (2026)

  • SPAN 105

Future Goals

I’m not sure where I want to go in life, but I do know that no matter where I go I want to keep trying new things! Life is for learning and I intend to learn and experience as much as I can :)

Advice to Current or Future Graduate Students

Live life for the experiences, not the possessions! As Albus Dumbledore once said, “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.” Education is amazing but you can’t forget to look outside the classroom and live!

What I like about BYU

I love the combination of spiritual growth and academic learning that thrives here at BYU. I also love the diverse cultures and experiences that are featured here. It is a school that teaches not only about the world but the people within it. 😊 I love experiences that we can participate in (though I haven’t participated in them all) like the International Cinema, Silent Weekend, folk dance performances, languages from all around the world, ect. It is a place that is intended for everyone!
