Phi Lambda Beta is a national honor society composed of undergraduate and graduate students who have shown outstanding achievement in the study of Luso-Brazilian language, culture, and literature. In order to be considered for this honor, a student must have completed Portuguese 321 and at least one other upper-division Portuguese course. Graduate students must have been in residence for one year in order to be eligible for selection. All students must have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 in Portuguese courses and 3.0 overall. All applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be accepted for initiation.
